We know you can’t wait to meet our next Goop friend, so welcome Playalina! She’s a spirited Goop girl who loves to play with just about anything. She has a gift for turning anything into a game, even boring subjects at school! The only problem is that she often gets distracted when she finds something she can’t turn into a game. 

One spring evening, Playalina and her good friend Illdoit visit a secret lake where they can see tiny lights sprinkle themselves over the water. Wanting to play and getting impatient, Playalina tries to grab one of the lights while waiting for Illdoit to finish building a raft and gets sucked below the surface of the water and dropped into the Trevi Fountain in Rome! She soon grabs a coin and meets Vulcan, the Roman god of fire, whose image is on the coin. He helps her escape an angry police officer, Piero, who is determined to trap both Playalina and the clever Vulcan. 

Playalina helps Vulcan see the sights of Rome while trying to avoid Piero, but soon realizes that she must get back to Goop World or risk getting caught and stuck in Italy forever. Playalina has always been able to play her way out of problems, but this situation may require a more serious solution. Will she be able to use her skills to escape from Piero?

Playalina’s adventure in Rome helps little ones learn when play is necessary and when it’s time to focus on fixing problems in another way. Playalina will need to learn which is which if she wants to make it back to Goop World in one piece. Will she be able to put her games to the side to make sure Vulcan gets back to safety? Join her in Italy to find out!
