Moania

Moania was such a little history buff
She would read and read but it was never enough
Oh how she longed for ancient lands
For worlds buried beneath the sands
But if something were not to her liking
She would moan and moan and spew like a Viking

Moania's story is perfect for the little ones that can’t quit complaining

We know you can’t wait to meet the next Goop in our wonderful little group, so welcome Moania! She’s a curious Goop girl who loves history and storytelling. The other Goops love to listen to her stories and fun facts, but Moania can be a bit annoying when she starts to moan and complain.

On a cloudy spring day, Moania and her friend Knowitall go out in search of a storm to help them travel through time. Moania gets frustrated when the lightning doesn’t come, and begins to complain. When her magical ruby amulet from her great-great-great-great-grandfather hears this, it sends her back in time to the Pyramid of the Moon in Mexico! Luckily, someone very special is waiting to meet her—her great-great-great-great-grandfather, Archeo, in the form of the wind.

While exploring the outside of the pyramid, Moania begins to moan and drops right into the center of the pyramid. Archeo must battle an opposing wind force to help her, and he tells her that she must find a special carving if she wants to get back to Goop World. The only problem is that the corridors are long, and the evil wind keeps chasing them. Will Moania be able to stifle her complaints and focus on the task at hand?

Moania’s journey back in time to Mexico helps little ones learn how to confront difficulties without complaining and better ways to demonstrate their emotions. Moania will need to do just that if she wants to find the carving that will take her home. Will she be able to make her way through the long corridors without moaning? Join her in the Pyramid of the Moon to find out!

This small story for kids will help them expand their vocabulary while teaching them how to handle difficult emotions. As kids join Moania’s travels, they will engage in active listening, learn fun historical facts, and stimulate their creativity for imaginative play. Kids won’t want to leave Goop World after experiencing the wonders of the Pyramid of the Moon!
