The story
Illdoit answers every question with "I'll do it!" and wears a confetti hat to prove it. When he hops in front of Moania on a wooden walkway to stop her complaining, she lands on the other end of the plank and catapults him into the sky.
He floats down onto a dark, neon-lit street in Tokyo, Japan, where his foot gets stuck between cobblestones full of gremlin faces. A tiny winged elf on a billboard offers to help, if he'll accept it.
The real place: Tokyo
Three things to tell your kid after the story.
- 1Tokyo is the capital of Japan, and its Shibuya Crossing is one of the busiest street crossings in the world.
- 2Japanese street signs can use three different writing systems at once: kanji, hiragana and katakana.
- 3Tokyo is famous for its bright neon signs and giant video billboards that light up the streets at night.
