Whinita and the Great Wall of China

The story

Whinita is hilarious and adventurous, but when something bothers her she whines and whines. Chasing a storm with Jinxem, she swings her lasso to catch a lightning bolt and gets carried right up into the thunderstorm.

She is dropped onto the Great Wall of China, onto the one brick that must never move, while a worried frog named Tinwa warns her about the queen of the snakes.

Three things to tell your kid after the story.

1. 1The Great Wall of China was built and rebuilt over many centuries and stretches for thousands of miles.
2. 2At the Jiayuguan Pass, a single extra brick still sits on a gate tower, just like in the legend in the story.
3. 3Some Great Wall builders mixed sticky rice into their mortar to help hold the bricks together.
