The story
Abednego is a charming little gentleman in a top hat, but at bedtime he throws fits because he loves playing and is afraid of the dark. Building one more snowman with Poutine, he refuses to go home.
The snowman leads him through a stone archway into Aoncodlata, a snowy land where no one sleeps. To get home Abednego must dream, but a grey dragon who can't sleep hunts anyone who nods off.
The real place: Sleep and Dreams
Three things to tell your kid after the story.
- 1Children ages 6 to 12 need about 9 to 12 hours of sleep each night.
- 2Most dreams happen during REM sleep, when your eyes dart back and forth under your eyelids.
- 3While you sleep, your brain sorts and saves the things you learned during the day.
