The story
Bobpothesis is always experimenting and explains every beaker and test tube, even when nobody asks. When Sarcasta slams her notebook and spills the experiment, he shrinks and gets sucked into a test tube.
He lands on top of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and he is terrified of heights. With help from seagull friends, he sets his sights on a giant science museum called the Exploratorium.
The real place: The Exploratorium
Three things to tell your kid after the story.
- 1The Exploratorium is a hands-on science museum in San Francisco, started in 1969 by a scientist named Frank Oppenheimer.
- 2Its Tactile Dome is pitch dark inside, so you explore it using only your sense of touch.
- 3San Francisco has the oldest working tide station in the Western Hemisphere, measuring the tides since 1854.
