The story

Bubbleroo turns every moment into magic with her colorful, specially shaped bubbles. Baking cookies with Rushem, she gets so wrapped up blowing a giant star bubble that she doesn't hear him, and the bubble sucks her right up into the sky.

The bubble pops and she splashes into the icy Bering Sea, far from any land. Then a whale spout shoots up nearby, and before long she is somewhere very dark with a worried little fish who needs her help.

The real place: Bering Sea

Three things to tell your kid after the story.

  1. 1The Bering Sea lies between Alaska and Russia, and its icy waters are full of fish that whales love to eat.
  2. 2Humpback whales can catch fish by blowing a ring of bubbles around them, called a bubble net.
  3. 3Male humpback whales sing long songs that can travel for miles underwater.
