Dilly Dally is brave and always sticks up for others, but she dawdles everywhere and is late to everything. Lingering after dark, she steps on DrawUm's chalk drawing of a castle moat and falls right in.
She surfaces in a yacht house in the Thousand Islands of New York, where an old steam yacht named Kestrel dreams of seeing Boldt Castle again. Dilly Dally offers to be captain, ghostly curse or not.

- 1George Boldt started building Boldt Castle on Heart Island around 1900 as a gift for his wife, Louise.
- 2When Louise died in 1904, the work stopped, and the castle sat unfinished for more than 70 years before it was restored.
- 3The Thousand Islands region actually has more than 1,800 islands in the St. Lawrence River, between New York and Canada.
