The story
Hogger can cheer up anyone, but he hogs everything because he is scared there won't be enough. When he dumps every marshmallow into his own hot chocolate, he gets sucked right into the mug.
He lands in a muddy hippo pit in Uganda and teams up with Namazzi, a young antelope, and Sanyu, a baby gorilla. Then the tea leaves deliver strange news: he must be chased by a thousand bees by noon.
The real place: Uganda
Three things to tell your kid after the story.
- 1The Uganda kob, the antelope Namazzi is, appears on Uganda's coat of arms.
- 2Almost half of all the world's mountain gorillas live in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
- 3Bee-eaters are bright, colorful birds that catch bees in midair and knock off the stinger before eating them. Many nest in holes dug in muddy banks.
