Partypooper is a great helper who will shovel your sidewalk or rake your leaves, but parties make him nervous, so he spoils every surprise. When the Mads jump out and yell "Surprise!" at their pool, he squeezes his eyes shut and toots his horn as hard as he can.
He opens his eyes floating down a river past red-roofed villages in Serbia. The shingles on a cottage roof start knocking at him in code, with news about the spirits of a mighty fortress on the Danube.
