Pickyeata and the White Croatian Truffles

The story

Pickyeata is the pickiest eater in Goop World and would live on hot chocolate if she could. When Whymusty tricks her into tasting a mushroom truffle, she makes a grumpy wish and shrinks right into her cocoa mug.

She swims out into a salty blue sea beside a red-roofed fairy tale town in Croatia, where a mysterious old woman, a thousand-year-old tree and a wild boar are waiting.

Three things to tell your kid after the story.

1. 1Croatia's Istria region is famous for white truffles, a rare kind of mushroom that grows underground near tree roots.
2. 2Truffle hunters use animals with super sniffers, usually specially trained dogs, to find truffles hidden in the dirt.
