Stinjessie and The Leopard Who Didn’t Change His Spots

The story

Stinjessie is a hoop-throwing whiz who keeps every toy in perfect order and never shares. When she hogs the only rain puddle from Abednego, the clouds float away, and her angry stomping breaks right through the ground.

She falls all the way to Kenya and lands in a lake of sleeping pink flamingos. A wise flamingo tells her she needs rain to get home, and warns her that a leopard never changes his spots.

The real place: Kenya

Three things to tell your kid after the story.

1. 1A group of flamingos is called a flamboyance, and they get their pink color from the food they eat.
2. 2Gerenuks stand on their back legs to nibble high leaves and can go their whole lives without drinking water.
3. 3Leopards are strong climbers and often rest in trees, sometimes dragging their dinner up with them.
