The story
Zeemsneaze is a brave little drummer who sneezes all the time and wipes his nose on his sleeve instead of a tissue. While following a creek with Teeza, he lets out a giant sneeze that hurls him over the edge of a waterfall.
He lands in a dark cave behind Niagara Falls, where a baby rainbow trout warns him about the Big Freeze and tells him he must somehow cross to the other side.
The real place: Niagara Falls
Three things to tell your kid after the story.
- 1Niagara Falls is actually three waterfalls, and it sits right on the border between the United States and Canada.
- 2In 1859 a daredevil named Charles Blondin walked across the Niagara Gorge on a tightrope, and people still talk about it today.
- 3In very cold winters, ice and frozen mist build up around Niagara Falls, but the water keeps rushing underneath.
